This month is the 10th anniversary of the 2nd kitchen addition we put on the house for butchering/processing and sausage making. (even though the wife takes it over during the holidays for goodies she makes) The Wife, our two sons and I did it ourselves from design drawings to final decorating. Its 18 by 24 inside with epoxy floor and game hoist and sports an exposed, roofed over patio for the few months we have decent weather up here to grill out. To commemorate the decade anniversary, Im taking a trip down memory lane. The wife learned a lot about concrete work during this project.

At times It also serves as my sewing room for things like Tipis

Leather mittens

DIY heater body suit for below zero hunting.

Its a place to display about 400 unique broadheads.

And to make custom knives

And to do European mounts and do gun corrosion evaluations and Broadhead and bow and arrow making and broadhead performance evaluations. Its an all around man cave.

My sons seemed to enjoy the new experiences with the exception of roofing (but it was pretty hot at the time). They seemed to dislike tearing off shingles and paper but I cant blame them.

DIYguy,

Judging from your posts here (and on another website I forget right now), I am guessing that you are not much of a couch potato, sitting around watching TV? wink

You seem to be busy -- always doing something fun and worthwhile!

I turned the TV off 9 years ago. Best move I ever made. It added many hours to the day for "activities". I dont even watch Packer games as I cant susspend my life for 3 hours when I know I can google the score later in the day and only waste 10 seconds of my life to see if they won. I dont care to sit and watch other people doing stuff when I got stuff I can be doing. You guys can keep your Morks and your Mindys and your Battlestar Gallacticas and A-Team. Ive got no use for them.
