Anybody shooting a Glock 30S? I handled one in a shop the other day and it felt pretty good in the hand for a 10-shot 45ACP.

It's the same gripframe as the 30SF. It just has the narrower slide of the 36, which saves almost 1/4lb of weight (which surprised me until I weighed them).

I have a 30SF and used to have a 36. I have put the 36 slide on the 30SF frame and did not really consider it to be a really huge difference from a carrying standpoint. From an IWB concealment standpoint, the parts above the belt are almost the same for both guns (30S and 30SF). Some people seem to like the slightly smaller width of the slide for IWB.
For some reason, the 30SF/Gen 4 30 is a sweet spot in terms of accuracy, recoil and split times. I have not been tempted to mess with that by going with a thinner, lighter slide. I can see it if it only is going to be a CCW gun that is carried a lot and shot little, but I am sticking with the beefier gun for an "everything" gun.

I've had one since last summer. I've put less than 500 rounds through mine, but I like it. The grip frame is slightly shorter than a Glock 19, otherwise they have pretty much the same dimensions. I like the slimmer slide when compared to a standard Model 30 or 30SF, especially for IWB carry. Mine will fit in a Sparks Summer Special made for a Glock 19, but will not fit in a Sparks 55 made for the same gun.

Just got one. I am very impressed with it. I have a Glock 20 for far off the pavement, a ruger lcp for a no one can know gun and this G30S will fill every other role. It is so accurate and very soft recoiling. I am really glad they listened to the public and released this gun. ammo shot 230 grn federal, 230 grn american eagle, remington 230 grn hp I raked my trigger finger with the tape gun the night prior so not bad with a fish gilled finger 7 & 10 yards [/img]
