Life has taken another dump on me. I am no longer going to the wooden boat school nor am in in Port Townsend, WA working on boats. I do have a brand new CDL with Haz-Mat, tanker, doubles and triples and air brakes endorsements. I will be driving for Swift or at least I will be in the second day of filling out their paperwork in the morning. I may leave for six weeks of training with a mentor/driver Friday evening. I will be driving 48 states while my wife and I take some "time out" and work on our relationship. Things are working out well along those lines and the hope is she will be riding with me in six months. I do not have a computer and could only use a laptop if I had one. At the price of laptops it does not look like I will back on the list for a long while so I will just have to check in whenever I can find a open computer. This one is in the lobby of my hotel room. I miss you all and wish I was able to be here more often.

This don't sound like life took a dump on you Scott...
Seems like a door has opened for you. I hope that you make the best of it.

Seeing the country, outstanding Scott. Your going to like your new adventure. Stop in a library now and then most have free computers you can use.

Once you get established as a drive check out Jim Palmer and Carolina Pacific for jobs, GREAT companies to work for and they pay better than Swifty and have nicer trucks AND are more flexable about home time.

The very best of luck to you my friend and keep us in the loop.

Thanks guys. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the USA. I have seen 48 states and would like to see the last two and this is a great chance to get there. My wife is also looking forward to seeing the country and we are planning a long trip in the truck after the first of the year. As for trucks, I understand I will get a 2005 Volvo when I fifish my six weeek run witgh the mentor. Then I plan to stay with Swift for about a year then see what is out there. If I find a better OTR company I will make the change ore maybe go to a local job. A year is to far out to make solid plans now. I will try my best to check in whenever I can and try to find a used laptop for regular campfire fixes. I also would like to get to see many of you face to face over a cup of coffee. This could be a lot of fun and I am open for the adventure.

Call me when you are in the Walla Walla, Kennewick, Pendleton or LaGrande area's. These are places that I frequent in my travels. Keep this phone number handy 509-521-7052. BTW, I just traded into a Kimber Combat CUstom 45ACP. I know you have been wanting a good 45 for a long time. When you are on your feet we can talk some more.

That is exactly what faith is for. I will let everyone know when I get time off and where I will be. This could be a lot of fun.

Good to hear something else came available. You'll never be out of work with a CDL..

Glad to hear things are well with the Missus.
