For 'off the shelf' you can search eBay - katana handle.
Or better yet Google up a knifemaker that specializes in Japanese knives and have him fit a handle to your blade.
Don't recall any of the knife makers here ever showing Katana work.

check the sword sub forums on Blade Forums, and on Knife Forums. Knife Dogs as well. Lots of info.

I've seen Paul Chen Hanwei repros of the officer's sword and they are very good. I'd contact them. You might be able to fit one of theirs.

Call Freddy Loman. He has a Filipino village making him some extremely high quality fittings. Tsamaki is incredible(especially if you make the handle about 11-14 inches long. Its not cheap but generally the right way never is.
Sincerely, Thomas
