I run a couple.... and like them. They're the best way to adjust comb hight without going to something permanent. And, I'm a firm believer in the positive effects of consistent unstrained cheek weld.
I have a couple that I cut the pack off, making them simply a strap on cheek piece.
Oh..... and they're stock 'satchels', not 'purses'. Satchels are cool.... Indiana Jones carried one.

Haha. Yes, as long as it is a satchel and not a purse, you are good to go!
I like the look of RAT pads for attaining proper cheekweld. Will hopefully be trying one out soon.

I'd rather drill holes and install a taco than use a rifle purse. They do remind me of a fanny pack! You can just plug the holes if you remove the taco. User filler or barbed plugs from the hardware store.
Haven't seen the RAT pad before but it looks interesting.
Goat, are you looking to buy a RAR and fix the chinweld on it?

Can't wait to hear how you like it and your fix for the cheekweld. I've been thinking about one in .243.

I have mixed feelings about the stock satchels. Thought I loved 'em, now I've removed them from all my rifles. At the end of the day, I don't like the bulkiness of them.

Agreed on the bulk.... hence the removal of the 'pack' portion on a couple of mine.
Do filled holes in the buttstock of my Manners or Mickey up the resale value? Not thinking so. So, until I'm certain the stock is staying forever.... I ain't drillin'. That being said.... I have a couple 12"x12" sheets of Kydex waiting to be cut and molded on Taco Tuesday.

Do you find 260 to be a superior cartridge to the creedmoor or did you just like the other rifle better?
