What is the best predator/varmint hunting magazine? I shoot a few prairie dogs but mostly call coyotes and I'm looking for a good magazine.
Thanks, Jeff M.

Varmint Hunter Magazine is so good that the Editor occasionally publishes a piece by Ol' Useless (Ken Howell) to keep it from being perfect.

Predator Hunter Magazine put out by the same folks that do Trapper and Predator Caller, but right now its in the experimental stage and they put one out last year, and think they're gona do two this year. They are checking the market for intrest I supose, but for Predator Hunting, its pretty good.

Varmint Hunter is the vote here. Predator could be good, if they would turn Bill Bynum loose to do his thing.

As far as I know, the Editor of Varmint Hunter Magazine is the only Editor in the business who has brought a background of professional experience as an Editor to his current job. The new Editor of Varmint Xtreme has a long background as an outdoor writer, but this is his first job as an Editor. Both men are good friends of mine the former with far more experience in producing a quality publication, the latter with probably a bit more field experience. I don't expect their publications to be comparable.
