Just got an Email yesterday introducing the Pinnacle. They are taking orders now. $8000.00

I do not know how to do links. It's on their website.

Would you buy one?

Good looking pistol. I don't much care for the rear sight and how the cut is done; I like the old school Bo-Mar cut where you melt the rear part of the sight into the slide.

Other than that, it's a very good looking pistol. I like the forward slant to the "Hi Power" cuts on the front of the slide, nice touch.

Kevin-

Thanks for your help on the webpage posting.

I agree with you on the sight. A little over the top. No pun intended. The engraving is first rate. It should be. I'm more inclined to spend on functionality than fancy engraving. I shoot all my guns. Except the black army. They say it is "vary limited quantity". I wonder what that means. I have a Wilson Hunter and it is by far the most well made 1911 I have. But $8000.00?

I would like to shoot one.

Not likely to shoot or feel any different than any of their other 5" guns.........& the accuracy guarantee on it is still their standard.

I do have one 5" Wilson & it's definitely a very smooth feeling gun when shooting it........it's my favorite shooting 1911.

I'm sure it's limited quantity because of the engraving. It's always hard to tie up a decent engraver's time. I used to live fairly close to Wilson, and the only engraver I know who's worth anything is in Missouri about 80 miles from Wilson's. So I don't know who's doing it, but I'm betting that's the deciding factor.

The engraver is no other than Wayne D'Angelo. His under studies will probable assist also.

If you buy two you can shoot one and put the other in a presentation case unfired for future appreciation in value.

I got the word the other day myself. The Pinnacle is a BBQ or safe queen. Nothing wrong with that if a guy has the dough. My 1911's are shooters not BBQ or safe queens. I went through that decision myself when I ordered my new Wilson but I decided to pattern my new Wilson as close to a Colt Gold Cup as possible and even that came real close to $4,000 as a standard grade.

BTW: For those who have quilting/embroidery crafts ladies in their life's $8,000 is the entry level sewing machine for said crafts. See how lucky us guys are. grin

I'm sure it's a wonderful pistol, but a Baer at 1/4 the price still has a better accuracy guarantee smirk

And I don't especially like Wilson's rear sight. Nighthawk has one that is better looking and more functional, IMO.

Tough to beat a Baer for shooting value. If I wanted something more custom and detailed, I'd probably look at Nighthawk.

I'm a Wilson fan through and through. Wilson will shoot far more accurately than I can ever hope to do. As to sights, I like their big U battle sight as I can shoot for a longer time with less eye strain. I had the low mount big U battle sight installed on my Colt Gold Cup. I can see, I can see said the blind man after the elephant got up. smile

I have fallen in love with nighthawks 1911's lately. I have had some time with some of their new 1911's and they have been flawless in build and functionality. I've been looking for a while and finally took delivery of one this evening. I'll be posting pics shortly.
