We are likely going to make a trip to BC and spend some time around the Quadra Island area located on Vancouver Island. I was wondering what type of fishing is available in this area? Time frame is second week of July

It would have be a guided deal and species of fish is not important. Letting the kids experience something totally different from what can be found at home is. What about crabbing, etc...

Any recommendations on what fish to target or maybe who to get into touch with?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I imagine you will be in Campbell River at some point? Springs and Coho should be around.

How big would your group be? My BIL guides out of there in a 17' Montauk. Excellent individual, entertaining, and an avid hunter as well. PM me if interested.

Cheers,

Rob

Add to the list halibut in the salt and trout & summer steelhead in the rivers. It's fishing heaven for sure.

Have fun!

There is incredible fishing there, and it's a great time of yeR to be on the water. Salmon is the biggest draw but there are lots of easy to catch bottom fish too , so don't neglect that. I've only been on guided trips when someone else was paying for it ( my big suppliers) but a google search for charters in your area should give you results.

It's been a few years, but there were guide services right on Quadra Island when I was there. Caught a number of King Salmon, some on a fly rod with streamers. I took my wife and son and they had a great time too.

I hope you have a good trip, better fishing, and most of all, a safe time of it.
