Has anyone seen a T3 Big Boar? I had my local gun shop try to find one in .308 and they couldn't find any. Just looked at Berreta website and it is still listed as being made. The rifle has a 19" barrel, so I thought it would be good for the type of hunting I do from treestands. With a 2X7 scope- insert your favorite brand of scope.

Thomas-I've not seen it yet but I did have my favorite gun shop order one if for me in an 06.
It was big time tough to locate and most of the gun shops and distibutors didn't even know what it is.
I finally had to get a hold of the Tikka rep around Montana and have him do the search.
I do look 4-ward to carrying the lil rifle around.

Fondled one in '06 at the Gander Mountain store in Thornton, CO a few weeks ago. Briefly toyed with the idea of buying it, but passed. Seems like a good carry rifle...short barrel, light weight, Tikka quality & accuracy.

I just picked up my T3 regular. I wish I would have realized this was out there and I think I may have had to search one of these little beasts out. This thing is exactly what I want in a deer rifle. Short barrel, detachable mag, light weight. Now I have to figure out what to sell so I can order one. Thanks Pal for helping me to spend more money.

This would make for an awesome no frills stand gun... or what we would refer to in Texas as a 'Truck Gun'. I am a huge fan of my Sako 75 '06 and I am conviced this would be the ultimate for someone wanting a short 'n stubby rifle that carries punch. .308 seems perfect, you can never go wrong with an '06. It seems like a 300 mag would carry to much recoil -for my taste at least. Keep checking Guns America and Gunbroker. I have seen them in both places and the ad's seem to last only a day or two. I could only imagine it would make a sweet little hog (or anything else you like) busting package with the scope you describe.
Best of Luck

How many you want? One of my wholesalers has 8 308's, 10 06's, and 7 300wsm's. Geez, that wsm must be a loud mother with that 19 inch barrel. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

From what I can tell, the Big Boar is a regular T3 lite blued with 3 7/16 inches cut off the barrel. For this priveledge, you get to pay exactly $102.40 more for less barrel length. That is the difference wholesale. I would think for $102, you could just get a regular T3, or even better yet, a stainless one, and have the barrel shortened and recrowned. There is no justification for Beretta to charge that much more for that rifle.
