I bought an old Marbles ideal sheath knife. The knife is in good condition but the aluminum pommel is a little loose and spins a little. I want to tighten the pummel nut on the bottom of the handle. It has two notches and I'm wondering other then trying to fabricate something to slip into them if there is a tool one can buy for the specific functioning of tightening or loosening the pommel?

Buy an old screw driver at a yard sale for $.25 that is of adequate dimensions at the tip. Grind out the center of the blade tip to give you a spanner tool to fit the nut on the knife pommel.

Whatever tool you use, make sure it fits into the brass nut TIGHT as the nut will strip and deform very easily as it is just brass.
