A video of Woodchuck taken at 52yds!

http://youtu.be/6rVeqQUd6QI

The Scope was set at 19X.
The aim point is the top mil dot and I am Looking to place
the top Mil dot just below the back of the ear (taking into consideration the down angle of the shot and the round shoots about 1/2" @ 50yds).
This gun shoots CCI MM's at 1,307fps ....the round's accuracy can be seen in a pervious video http://youtu.be/Tsz6US_efg8 and

Nice video. What camera set up are you using?

great video. I have actually shot a few groundhogs out of trees that my silent tree dog had run them up. most were on the ground though.

question about your dot-sight. was it sighted in at 50 yards to be dead-on at the top dot sight? in other words, was it sighted in above the point of intersection of the cross-hairs? I hope I'm making sense. I've never hunted with a .22 from a tree stand before. I guess I don't understand why you didn't put the crosshairs on the top of his head?

btw, the groundhogs I have cooked were all fattened on kudzu. the meat flavor was very strong. with orchard grass, they might be sweeter.

Great video, the first animal I ever shot was a groundhog. I shot it out of a tree while I was on the ground with a bow when I was about 8. Noone believes a groundhog can climb a tree but they can.

absolutely they can climb a tree. I've shot them while they were in a tree, where my squirrel dogs had treed him.

most were on the ground though.

Gus, This 22 is sighted in for 100yds using cci-mm hp's. So at 50yds it will obviously print high. With this set up, bbl length and bullet, the bullets will impact on the top 4th mil dot @ 50yds...dead on 100yds. I don't have to dial in any elevation...just use the mil dots.
As long as the scope has been plumbed, you can make your self a dope card using the mil dots for different ranges and bullets.

When you soak the woodchuck over night in red whine vinegar and another night in a soy/teriyaki marinade, it pretty much tastes like teriyaki chicken or beef.......LOL
The smaller the pieces and length of time you marinade them in will determine how "strong" of a taste you end up with ---with what ever meat you are using. You just have to find out what you like.

Rolltide
It's a Casio EX FC 100... but almost any camera will work as long as you can find/determine the proper focal length.
