Great video! And nice shooting.
I still want to know more about the rifle build and barrel!

Well, cool! I've never thought about eating groundhogs, course we don't have them around here. First one I ever saw was at Gettysburg battlefield and there was plenty of meat on him.
When I first saw your alias, I thought, "Huh, harpy is not usually considered very complimentary." Now I see the falcon, I understand.
What range is the rifle zeroed at?

safariman,
Is an Glenfield Mod 25. I fire-lapped the gun with thunderbolts, shortened, re-crowned, and free floated, the bbl., bedded the action and did a trigger job.
Who says you can't shine poop!.............LOL
Good Hunting Harpy
The custom paint job is mine also!

Harpy,
You have certainly turned a sows ear into a slik purse! Although the Marling/Glenfield 22's have always been known to be inherently accurate with thier micro groove barrels, I am very surprised that they shoot the 60gr bullets so well! I will have to try one.
I am a big fan of firelapping barrels, especially inexpensive 22 barrels. I took the group sizes down by fully 1/2 with a Butler Creek heavy 10/22 barrel and some bedding work.
I have been told that those 60gr bullets need a special 1 in 9 twist aftermarket barrel to shoot halfway well, but your expeeince has me on the hunt for a beat to hail MArlin and try it out! I can buy a whole Marlin for the price of a single aftermarket 10/22 barrel of 1 in 9 twist and have money left over!
I see you have been a member for a while, it is good to see you posting. You have put up some good and fun stuff here that really adds to this site, IMO.
MARK
PS I just had another thought.... putting a Marlin micro groove bbl on a 10/22! A RUGLIN custom arms piece! Or would it be a Marler?

I have an old Glenfield that I got as a kid- I shortened the barrel to 16" and put target sights on it. Quite accurate! I have a CZ varmint contour 22lr that is extremely accurate with Wolf ammo. Never know until you try them!
