The wife and I applied as a party for deer M-6 (either sex San Diego ML tags), and we were drawn! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
I am surprised, but it should be a good hunt...jim

I didn't realize that one needed to apply for an either-sex tag if going as a party with a member of the opposite sex. Now it all makes sense.

I was lucky and got Lassen Antelope this year. I love that area up there, and having a reason to hunt while exploring is great! I got a 6x6 elk above weed a few years back, so I have been pretty fortunate. Hopoefully my luck holds out and I kill a nice goat! Matt

And the tags arrived in today's mail too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
Whoopee.
This looks like a ML year, as I drew a Colorado ML deer tag too.

I thought it said in the regs results would be available 6/26? Glad I noticed these posts today, just checked and I was drawn for x8. Have gotten good bucks there before.

Most states post a touch earlier than their projected dates. Some of us are antsier than others, can't help but begin checking a week early! Good luck on your hunt.

Thanks macrabbit, glad you checked early, now I can plan this thing out sorta. The area I hunt in has changed alot in the past 5 years since I hunted it last. Used to be able to 4- wheel within about a half mile to my favorite spot. Now have to hike in about 3 miles from camp, which is ok by me. Going to buy one of those carts from Cabellas and wheel my gear in. Should be fun, I am looking forward!!

Kinda a funny thing, the last 4 years we (myself & 2 of my hunting buddies) have been putting in as a party hunt because we were told our odds of getting picked were better. Hasnt worked so this year I put in for an X zone alone and got drawn.

I used to hunt near X-8 and always loved that country. A friend's dad took some nice bucks in the 70's outta there. Are you familiar with Wolf Creek Pass?
PM me if you want, I'll tell you what I know.
