Thomas, that is a BEAUTY - far outclasses any of the simple rimfire stuff that lives here. Looking forward to seeing it in action.
On this end, I understand about "the shooter". By now, some days seem OK but others are a combo of wiggles and poor views. No complaints - there were plenty of good years.

Paul it's far from a beauty, but it works darn well. It was a silhouette rifle for sometime and it shows plenty of use.
Thanks, Tom. When I said "beauty", primarily was referring to that basic Win rifle design and the way you have it set up - not referring to someone's idea of "eye-pleasing" aestehtics. High taste for me are those that adhere closest, and most economically, to the one true purpose of a rifle.
Ok this walked in yesterday with a whole load of other relics. I had to have it! Should I bring it? Anyone have any .450 Adams???

Yeah! The common theme on that ammo is it might be a bit too hot for the RIC. Heard of some cylinder burst. I kinda find that hard to believe.
But the stuff isn't to hard to cobble up out of cut 45 Colt cases! Just not time or material to put any together in time.

Thanks!!! Yes you can do that too!!! And I used to have a bunch of .455 brass. But it has gone the way of the Dodo a long time ago. Eventually I'll have some nice black powder loads put together and have some fun !

Somewhere I have an original Springfield Armory box of 12 rounds for the Schofield. Picked it up of all places from a pawn shop next to Schofield Barracks in HI.

You must be an expert - have you studied up on Adams Apple genders?
Her sign-board said she was a Texas gal. Them T-gals seem to have lumps all over the place - one of hers was below her chin and above her shoulders. Actually, looked to be about .47 cal.
