Rl19 is the powder to use with 168gr ttsx. So it should be good with your bullets
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Not sure about the browning but I load the 168ttsx in my tikka with RL-17 @3290fps. I also have 2 buddy's that are loading the same load in the same gun with almost identical results.

That load I use with RL17 gave me the tightest ES I've ever had. 0.9 for a 3 shot string.

My best 165gr load has been book max Rl-17.
Funny thing is I find Rl-19 to work best with 150gr bullets, IMR4350 to work best with 180's, and H414 with 130's. Burn rate is close with three of the four powders, but a single powder just doesn't work across the board in my gun.

Back to the drawing board. I just can't seem to get the 165 nbt and RL 17 to group under 2" at100 yrds. I tried both standard and magnum primers from CCI, Winchester, Remington, and Federal. I worked up from 66 grains to 68 grains.....
Anyone with some pet data for IMR 4350 or 4831?
Thanks guys

A word of caution with the 300 WSM.Some of these rifles have freebore and some don't.Mine in particular is one that doesn't.There is no way I could get up to some the published max loads. One example,I tried to get up to Alliant's 68.0gr max with Reloader-17 using a 165gr bullet and quit when 65.0grs gave me 3160fps with poor grouping and 66.0grs gave me even poorer groups with the velocity of 3228fps.I don't even want to know what I would have got if I had went straight to 68.0grs.I usually have to stay about two grain below most manuals for most powders listed. What happens with the ones that have very little freebore is,the pressure shoots up quicker when the bullet makes contact with the lead of the lands unlike the longer tapered leads on the freebored rifles. My rifle shoots great, gets the velocity up there with less powder but,I have to be very careful with the seating depth. So my word of caution and I know mine is not the only one out there,is always start low and work your way up,every rifle is slightly different. The 300WSM is fairly easy to load for and any powder between Ramshot Big Game to Reloader-22 will work just fine in it.Winchester 760 or H414,same powders different packaging,is what I'm shooting these days.64.5grs with the 165gr bullets gives me 3125fps,one inch groups @ 200yds and it will really put a whitetail down quick.
~Molɔ̀ːn Labé Skýla~ As Bob Hagel would say"You should not use a rifle that will kill an animal when everything goes right; you should use one that will do the job when everything goes wrong."Good words of wisdom...............

165gr Partition and H4350. I've never had a BT out shoot a PT in any rifle I've loaded for. Seconds work just fine. Other than that have you tried any Hornady bullets?

I've experimented with RL17 and get good speeds with it in my Winchester. But started getting pressure signs well below max. I get best accuracy with H4350 with both 180 and 165 gr bullets. If I back off on the RL-17 to about the same speeds as H4350 accuracy is better, but still not as good as H4350. At least in my gun.
I still get 2950 with 180's and a max load of 4350. It wasn't worth the extra 50-75 fps with RL-17. By the book I should have been about 130 fps faster with RL-17, but I didn't feel comfortable loading it that fast.
Most people don't really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.

My pet load is 66.5 gr RL 17 with the 165 gr ttsx, it runs 3166 and shoots 3/4 inch groups, I worked up to 68 gr, that load ran 3220 but bolt lift was stiff.
