Can a 30-06 action handle a 9.3x62? #9094692 08/12/14 Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 42 TX D Draeb OP Campfire Greenhorn OP Draeb Campfire Greenhorn D Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 42 TX Thinking about building a 9.3x62 rifle for SE AK. I have heard conflicting info about 30-06 actions and their ability to handle the 9.3x62. My idea was to buy a SS 30-06 action, have it barreled, and drop it in a McMillan. Anyone know for certain? However, I gave no experience with the 9.3x62. I look forward to others posting with experienced information. v/r Joel

The round will work perfectly in the action. As matter of specs, there are no issues with that round in that action. Whether he should/should not build it is an entirely different question.
