Late model 99E, butt stock replaced. I think they say it was a "Bishop" stock. Very poorly fitted, that's for sure.

I'd say forearm is original cuz of the fit, but don't see impressed checkering. Sanded off and refinished? Or just no checkering on this one? Either way is POS and not worth anything like $450.

That is a standard model E with original forearm and after market butt. Could be a butt from a M or a DL but I doubt it. I would stain the forarm darker and she's a good shooter.

Ya Steve, I read my post again and I did sound like I knew the gun. Sorry, didn't mean to come out that way, but I think I'm correct anyhow. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

My .250 has a Bishop stock; I'd say that's definitely a Bishop, although the fit and finish is much better on my gun, thankfully. My forearm matches, too!

Make a nice project rifle.

Purty much a charity case in my book. The butt has been ground below the tang metal so it's firewood now.

That stock fit is awful. The replacement stock I did looked a lot like that one at first but then required a file and then finish. There was not even an attempt to make it look right. Anybody could do better than that. Especially if you want to sell it. Great project gun (considering mechanics are good) for those willing and have the time available. Price needs to drop dramatically first IMO.
