I liked Longmire. I also liked The Unit, and they canceled that one after 4 seasons. There's a lot of garbage they could can before Longmire, IMHO.

Make it 3, although I did watch about 3 minutes worth of DD on Youtube. It was stupid enough to guarantee I'll never watch any more of it.

But I'm sure it's REALLY cheap to make, as opposed to a good show like Longmire with scripts an professional actors an real sets, etc.

My God Big Smo!!! I'm with ya, pure idiocy. Its no wonder people all over the country think southern people are stupid, inbreed idiots. Between A&E and the music Nashville is pumping out they are making us look like the idiot that the reporter on the news interviews.

I was surprised at how good the actor that plays Walt Longmire turned out to be and never any hint of an Aussie accent whatsoever.

I guess this means too that Lou Diamond Phillips is out of work again. Since La Bamba and the Young Guns films he just doesn't seem to have much luck finding steady work in film or television anymore.

Probably replace it with some naked "reality" show with the good parts blurred out.

Loved Longmire also. They also cancelled Killer Women half way through the first season.

All tv shows and movies have to play by the PC rules you know. The, if you are a cowboy you are a loose cannon, you can't think for your self, you can not be self sufficient, the gov will do everything for you, rules. Who is paying for the new shows?

I halfway liked what I watched of Longmire on NF. But I can see why they cancelled it. Every episode went like this:

Some crazy crime.
LONGMIRE flashes across the screen.
Blonde deputy looks flustered and cusses at somebody.
Dude deputy walks by with his hands on his belt buckle and the camera zooms in on his squinting eyes.
Walt argues with the indian cops.
Ferg wanders into the scene.
Nobody can figure out what happened.
Katy cries.
Lou Diamond is in a bar.
Then Lou Diamond tracks somebody while talking in a forced indian accent.
Walt figures it out on his own and surprises everybody at the end.

The crimes changed, but every episode was essentially the same.

Yeah, it was predictable, but had good scenery, a bit of action and a hetero hero with enough personal demons to be relatable to most of us.

It's pretty much a guarantee that it was better that what they'll replace it with.

Are you guys looking for a cookie?

Kinda like logging on to the internet and boasting about not having television.

Longmire was a damn good show. The books are ok too. The author doesn't know schit about guns, but there were some unique other aspects to the show that they got right enough that I found it to be worth watching.

I never saw Longmire or DD.- don't get cable down here. Hell, until year before last we still had propane TV sets!

Have read the Longmire books, and liked then well enough, even though they weren't really "challenging", and the author really doesn't know firearms at all. Does have enough sense to depend on a 1911, though! Almost as bad in that respect as the Joe Pickett books.
