I had some time to kill today so I thought I would look through my computer, I looked at the programs installed on the machine I found one called �astromenda� so I googled that.

Astromenda Search stands for a new annoying browser hijacker. These days it targets the majority of popular browsers, such Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.
So I tried to uninstall it, got a prompt to close my browser and continue, I thought there be more to the process and googled for some help.

There is some good information on that site about downloading from the web and what we get if we don�t pay attention

That site had all the info for removal if it�s needed.

With all that information I figured i was prepared for whatever.

I went back to my program removal stuff with the browser closed and proceeded, everything went like it was supposed to with no problems, gone.

I have read most of the threads on problems with the fire and have never had a problem, but I did install �ad blocker� and it works everywhere on the web. So if you have some of those problems you could search your machine for astromenda and remove it.

There's another one called Trovi that I've had issues with. It takes over your searches and brings up all kinds of nice advertizing. There are some effective downloads online to get rid of it, then run Malwarebytes to clean up its aftermath.
