Have a small job to do in a drinking establishment. They want a 24X24 chunk of basically vinyl laminated hardboard (1/8 inch) screwed into a concrete floor and do not want the ratty azz
carpet cut out. I have a ton of oak scrape to make a frame for it as as a transition. I am not up on the newer concrete anchors and screws so thought I would ask the experts here. Any help appreciated.

2 or 2.5 in tapcons the bit usually comes with the screws but sometimes not.make sure you look in the box before you leave the store.

ya tapcons are the ticket anymore. you will need a hammer drill though and as he said, make sure you get the bit with the box.

+2 on the tapcon screws

Also, while I use an 18V cordless Dewalt drill most of the time.
For concrete holes you want 110Volt Hammer Drill. Great Tool.
