Looking for some guidance. I've been reading around the net about 475 Linebaugh loads with HS6 powder. Stumbled on a pound of it at my LGS today. I've some 420gr cast LFNGC's from bear tooth bullets and win LP primers on hand. Anyone know of any published data for this powder in the 475? Looking for some moderate loads to shoot out of my FA83.

Can't help you with published data but I do know that 13 grs under that exact bullet runs a pleasant and accurate 1050 - 1100 fps in my custom 5 1/2" 475's. This in Starline brass and Win WLP primers.
Conduct is the best proof of character.

13grain of hs-6 is a good starting load. I shoot a 7 1/2" BFR and 14.5gr seems to be the sweet spot for me with a 425gr cast from Leadheads. I am guessing 1100 fps.
