Visited one of the northern Wal-marts here in NH that sells firearms. In the rack were 4 Remington 700 ADL Synthetic Camo rifles SPS models. A 243, 270, 30-06 and a 7mm Rem Mag. All were marked down to $297.00 each. I grabbed the 243 cal. I work for a Wal-mart truck shop so I received an extra 10% discount off the price. Walked it out the door for $267.30

It also came with a cheap scope but that can be changed later. I just couldn't pass-up the savings.

Ken, very nice deal, good to see a cool camo pattern...I would have picked the 270 or the .06.

I would say for the amount of effort Remington puts into the SPS, you got one at the price they should be, good deal!

Very good price. At the very least you can use it as a donor action.

That's what I'd have done.

Hard to pass that up. You could flip parts and come out well ahead.

Must be a regional thing. Only Remington our local store had on sale was the 770 at $279. I asked about the 700s and they weren't on sale.

Tatelaw, I checked in 4 stores in N/W mississippi and they are 377.00 for the 700s and 299.00 for the 770. Oh well they will drop the price here it just might be a while

My sales person told me that the 700 ADL Models will not be sold in the future. Once there gone that's it. Like a discontinued model. Just keep checking at your local stores.

Heard the same thing when the SPS came out and and I bought my 30-06 ADL for $299 nearly TEN years ago (2005)....
