at last I was able to pick up my single seven today. I could still only get one of the two I ordered, but I am happy for now. The gun appears to be a well made gun, but I expected that from Ruger. Those 327 bullets really fill the cylinder. I was glad to see the safety warning on the bottom of the barrel, and I like the more matte like finish on the stainless steel. The next thing is to run a few down the barrel and see how it shoots, though the adjustable sights should make that easy.I hope to see more posts now that they are showing up!

Ruger's web-site lists three SS Ruger Single 7's chambered in 327 MAG - with barrel lengths of 4.63" - 5.5" - 7.5".
All three models are listed as Lipsey's Distributer Exclusives.

I have, and have had, Ruger Single Action revolvers in various grip and frame configurations and sizes - in calibers ranging from 17 HMR to 44 MAG.
I find the Ruger Single Action revolver that has the most comfortable feel and perfect balance - is one with a 4 5/8" barrel, and I also find no real difference in accuracy between the various barrel lengths.

My favorite is a 4 5/8" Vaquero - But I'll take and be happy with any Ruger SA I can get my hand on.

How is the barrel/cylinder gap? Someone on the Ruger forum was complaining that their new 327 had a gap of .005"-.015".

You, Sir, are a low down dirty............never mind. I am just jealous.

No word yet on when my 4 5/8 inch will ship.

I try to look on the bright side. I should have 500 empty Starline cases tomorrow or the next day. I will have plenty of time to load them up before the revolver arrives. Ha Ha Ha.
