This I have believed for at least five years now. The average scope buyer has less of a chance of making a big mistake, though worthless glass is still in the marketplace.

By the way, is the "new book" mentioned to replace Optics for the Hunter? Been gonna dig around for a copy of that, but maybe I'll wait.

Mine arrived yesterday, and I agree with others who noted the fast shipping time! I read it some last night, and when done, it will go in the bookcase next to my other two "little black books." Though this one is kind of a big black book.

I should also note that the optics book was sent to the printer yesterday. Usually that means books in about 6 weeks.
