Not often you find a guy that will get a pm at 9 on a work night from a guy he's never met, and drop everything to spend all night wandering around the Wyoming desert trying to find them and then pull them out of a mud hole.

I won't hold it against you if part of your motivation for pulling me out was not wanting the only idiot stuck out there in bentonite without chains or a winch to be a fellow Stevensvillian. If you ever run into a guy (I assume guide?) down there bragging about scouting lopes from a parachute plane, kick him in the nuts for me. A-hole would come in and buzz every herd I was checking out Friday morning. I had different spots marked on the map where the different candidates I had we're hanging out, but by the time that guy had been in the air a couple hours every antelope had moved and was on edge. I called the warden and decided I'd better just shoot one and get out of there.

That is the first I have heard of someone scouting by a parachute plane. I'll ask my contacts at the WY G&F. Don't know if it is illegal or not, even if it was interfering with your hunt. A cheesy and prick way to do things, regardless if its legal or not.
A winch wouldn't do you no good out there without a dead-man.
That bentonite soil is something else. Chains just dig you deeper. Ask me how I know.
