I've found a few people with 6.5-300 Weatherby, but I need a 6.5-257 Weatherby.

Does anyone know who might make such an animal?

Also, any input on freebore? I was thinking about going with standard Weatherby-type dimensions - because.

E-mail Dave Kiff and ask him about freebore. Personally I don't want much, I want to be able to kiss the lands.

Call Dave Kiff and ask questions. You can work out the small details. I would also suggest you send in a dummy round for seating with instructions such as kiss rifling or .070" jump etc. You can get exactly what you want for same price of approx. $140

I hadn't yet gotten to PT&G, so I appreciate the pointer. I was losing faith with nothing from Manson, Clymer, 4D, etc.

I don't intend to push this too hard in the velocity department. I know McWhorters 6.5's do not carry the traditional Weatherby freebore. I shoot a lot of 257 Weatherby and get more than acceptable (to me) accuracy with the factory chamber. I can see reasons both ways.
