If you're gonna be makin' those noises and the odors that accompany them when we're up huntin' I sure hope you're down wind of me.

That stench would make a skunk smell like roses.

It usually this time time of year when I pick up pneumonia, instead, I have a hellova cold. I'll take that instead! But it still sucks. Anyway, what a great morning...28*, sunny, frosty. My neck swelled right up and p'd outside. Normally. It an issue, but I'm at work, in a Walmart parking lot....so on second thought, it maybe not that big of a deal anyway.

2 weeks ago today I woke up with a bad cold that turned to Bronchitis and the start of pneumonia. On day 9 of antibiotics and still coughing up chit.

Watch this cold close Tom or you may get pneumonia yet!

The taxidermee man gave me a little preview of my snack pack from last season. Should have him back here at the house soon I reckon...

So Tom-how'd it go today?

Any word from Dave and the boys chasing elk? Heard there was snow on the mountains in Colorado.

Not a single pic of a deer on a camera! Zip, zilch, nada! No deer! I have a 400+ pound bear on cam tho. I'll put pics of him up later.

I'm seriously discouraged about this hunting area. The next time I go up is for scouting new spots. I think there is too much food available nearby and the deer have moved.

On the plus side, the wolves were not there either.

That said, the boys and I got A TON of shooting in. They burned through the 22 shells, and .410 rounds. We did see 5 grouse, which is encouraging, since I don't think we saw 5 last year. Ill tv me that.

No word from those boys on my end. I hope they're full up with elk all over though.

thats too bad Tom, maybe you should go hunt up in the northwoods. seeing alot of deer again. Taking the kids out this weekend for the School break, seeing some good ones agian for them. Keep after them, they will show.

That's possible buschy. I might have to come up with the muzzy loader.

that looks like a dandy. definetly filled out. get on up here, be fun to see you again at chickenbuck. its been a while since i got out there to visit too. taking the whole first week off this year, maybe to india the following week, then i thin muzzleloader will start. time flies way to fast.
