How do you get rid of the ugly bas&^$@$ ?
Our house is clean,no bugs,mice,roaches or anything,but those Scorpions come around every year.
Makes a guy wanna move.
I think they come up directly from He!!

They kill cockroaches - so they can't be all bad.

I dunno. One of the little bastids tagged me a few days ago. Lemme know if you figure it out.

I'd try mothballs around the sides of the house.

find a bug killer called Demon WP. doesn't kill them immediately like it does other bugs but it does kill them over time.

Not much else works other than a flamethrower or a boot.

what happens if they sting you? sick, or like a bad bee sting?

is there construction going on around your house?

we had them in our house in Texas - I guess they came up thru the pipes - they were building a sub division behind our house and kept the ground stirred up. We'd get up in the morning and sometimes have as many 3 of them on our kitchen floor.

Once the construction died down, they stopped showing up so frequently.

It was unnerving as our daughter was just a baby crawling around on the floor. My wife was ready to sell the house.

I have been stung once, grabbed a handful of clothes in a clothes basket and thought I grabbed a grassbur...I suspect he just gave me a warning poke because I have heard it burns like fire.

When we first built or house in '07, we had em everywhere. I could go out on the front porch at night and the walls were covered with em. I sprayed around the outside of the house (4' out from the foundation and 4' up the walls) with Termiticide. Never seen any since. That was about 5yrs ago.

Bengal ant and roach spray, spray here and there, it has a long residual.

My recent experience: No red mark, no swelling, no visible trace of the sting. I did see the li'l bastid and ruined the balance of his life with a shoe. It hurt like a MF, spread to my hand and wrist, nearly paralyzing my hand. Lasted about 30 minutes and began to fade, residual lasted about 4 hours. Fire is about as close as it comes to describing the feeling.

Question,....have you , or neighbors bought any FURNITURE that was manufactured in Jalisco Mexico ?

That chit comes in FULL of those translucent " Alecranes Sinaloa", and those things are no joke whatsoever.

Most all of the bastards love to move into the inner corrugations of cardboard.

There are some pretty fair assortments of traps at our hardware, I'll see what they've got this AM, and get back to you.

We have our house (inside and outside borders, including garage) bug-sprayed bi-monthly by a professional service. I see plenty of dead scorps, can't recall seeing a live one.

IDENTIFICATION AND BIOLOGY
Scorpions are easily identified by their claw-like pincers at the
front of the head and their thin, many-segmented abdomen that
ends in an enlarged bulb with a curved sting at the tip (figure 1).
Five species ranging in size from 2 to 7 inches long occur in
Idaho. Scorpions primarily occur in the sagebrush desert of the
southern half of Idaho, but one species � the northern scorpion(Paruroctonus boreus)� occurs as far north as Lewiston, along
the Snake River canyon of north-central Idaho. This species lives
in the northernmost locations of any scorpion in the U.S.

Call this guy. Hes got his chit squared away it seems.

I foresee a lot of "shots fired" reports if that is the case.

It's that time of the year.
Scorpions are not like roaches. Roaches groom themselves like a cat. Scorpions and spiders do not. So a spray stuff not going to work like on roaches.

Your town is small but bound to have a aggsupply type place.
Ask those guys what to apply outside to keep them out.
I get them every now and then inside west of you 50 miles.

My brother would find them around his place just south of Huntsville but I've never seen a live scorpion in my life.

We even have them here in WY.
