I'm on the downhill race to 40. I would like to plan a Mtn goat hunt for maybe 2016. You fellas have any recommendations for an outfitter, since I'm a nonres? Not opposed to any type of hunt( backpack, horseback, basecamp,etc.).

Sage, since I am cluttering up your thread, might as well try to add some info. I don't know anyone that guides for goats. I know bautte has killed a couple because of his posts here: http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/9082943/2 He might be able to give you a recommendation. I'd do a search for "goat" in the AK forum, then PM everyone that has killed one in AK that isn't an AK resident.

Dennis Zadra with Lonsome Dove Outfitters runs a great operation and his goat hunters always do well. Contact him to get the details, but he is usually 100% on goats.
