Things are usually getting good out here by this point but I have seen no deer movement this weekend after 16 hours of hunting yesterday and today. My cameras are getting very few pics also. Maybe this weekend.
When I die I hope I don't start voting democrat.

Saw five bucks between yesterday and today. None of them acted like they even knew what the rut is. Four young deer (1.5 or so) and one that looked to be 3.5.

I hunted in Hickman Co. yesterday and today, saw a very good 8pt and a small one antlered spike-both chasing in the am. Two does in the pm. Saw 6 bucks this am and three were chasing and the others really looking. It's about as on as it gets in the area I hunt, get to see it like this maybe once every three or four years.

I ain't seen NOTHING going on here, NOTHING. I'm on the east end of Lawrence country Giles co line. I've friends who hunt Wayne co say it starts much later over that way?

I haven't been here long enough to gauge yet, but from what I've seen the last 2 years is that they start chasing around Thanksgiving.
Last year during ML season I saw a fair amount of little bucks 'sniffing' around.

I spent the weekend in Royal Blue and didn't see any chasing. I did find some fresh scrapes which kind of leads me to believe it ain't quite happening yet. I'm headed out tomorrow and will be in Catoosa Thurs through Sunday. I'm hoping things get going.
