I have a Savage 110 in 30-06 and I am toying with the idea of re-barreling it to 25-06. Does anyone have experience swapping out barrels on the 110. I had read an article (can't find it now) that said it was not difficult, as long as you took your time. Any input would be a help.

I know they sell bbls (Adams and Bennet, I think). I was just asking how difficult it is to do it yourself.

My S-I-L and I just changed his old 7 Mag. barrel this weekend. 1st time for either of us. It took longer to take it out of the stock, remove the scope and bases, than it did to change the barrel. I gotta start looking for an old beater to "fix up"!

I changed a 243 to a 22-250AI using the wrench and A&B barrel from Midway. I put it together and took it apart because I so suprised that it was so easy. I finally put a new stock on it and now it shoots better than I can.
