I am stepping my 13 year old niece up from the G2 Contender carbine in 7-30 Waters to an Encore Carbine in 308 Win.. it is an 18" barrel with a muzzlebrake. I am thinking about loading 125 gr Btips due to the less recoil and I have a lot of them. How do they work in a 308?? I plan on loading them mid level loads. thanks Rob

A hunting buddy and I have used them in 30-30s. Devastating deer dumping deadly.

I'll let you know in a couple of weeks. My daughter will be using them out of her .300 Savage on Oklahoma white tail.

I've killed quite a few with 125 BT's from a .30-06. The results were always instant, if a little messy. I think mid level .308 loads will be fine for that bullet.

In theory, yes, but like unicorns, no one has actually ever seen one.
