I recently picked up a Savage model 11 light rifle in 223. I got it right before leaving for deer camp. The only bullets that I have that would work on deer were 65 gr Sierra Gamekings. It shoots them great!!! How is their performance on game?? Thanks Robbie

Is it OK to kill deer with a 223?

I mean, is it ethical? Moral? Legal?

Isn't it stunt shooting?

While being ethical, I'm not really big on morals..

And I love stunt shooting.

Most of the talk with 223's is with the 53 gr TTSX. I was wondering bout these GKs. I might have to do some stunt shooting. I have been carrying my 308 and all I have been seein is yearlings and does.. If I carry the 223. I mite see a buck!!!!

That is the bullet that I found to shoot best out of my 222.

Have not stunt shot anything yet... probably will not this fall as I only have one rifle tag and my 270's are calling.

With no apologies to Ingwe. grin

I have some loaded for my RAR, and have been impressed with the accuracy. I'll see how they work well on deer next week. The plan is to get the 75amax to out shoot them, but if they don't I'll stick with the 65 sierra.
