Looking at building my own heated scent dispensers. My thought is to use aluminum foil as either a reflector or conductor of heat utilizing the chemical hand warmer packets. I know that there are several commercially made products available but I'm cheap. I've also not gotten a chance to take a look at one to see how they are making them work. Anyone know of have any opinion as to which is the better way to go reflection or conduction?

I tried the thermocells this year a little. I could not keep them lit for long. I'm thinking it was because of the temperature as I used 2 different units that worked fine all summer. If you figure it out let us know.
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

Forget the scents and all that crap. What you are missing is how many deer that DON'T come in because of that stuff.
If anything, kill your scent. Foreign scents do more to alert than attract deer. Maybe not always but I like my chances better hiding my presence rather than advertising it. Not knocking- just suggesting alternative thinking.

A few have trailed me by a drag rag covered with scent(no big bucks) but most come on high alert when smelling new scent in their area when I'm in a tree stand. I just try to find fresh deer poo now & step in/smear on bottom of boots.
