I am looking for a florocarbon line that casts and handles good on spinning tackle.

P-Line CX
6# breaks like 10 mono, casts great, low stretch, feel strikes much better, no memory to kink up so it lasts a long time.

Seaguar InvizX is the best. The cheaper Red Label is not as good.

I'm gonna make a trip to BPS soon. All I can find locally is spiderwire EZfloro, I have tried it. It sux, breaks easily. I use stren florocarbon on my casting gear cause it comes in clear blue florescent for night fishing. I used visious floro once but can't find it in 6 lb anymore.
I have some p line cx but its mono. I also have some yo zuri hybrid that I love on casting gear but it is to stiff for spinning tackle.
Thank you gentlemen I will try the seaguar. I bought a 100 yrd spool of stren florocast at hogmart to try. Who knows its a coin toss.

I use nanofil with a leader. But in this case I'm wanting floro. I like it better for fishing soft plastic cause it sinks and you can use a lighter weight and light weights don't hang in the rocks as bad as heavy weights do. Plus its more sensitive than mono, for feeling jigs and worms in deep water.
I love the nanofil with a 6 foot leader of yo zuri hybrid for jigging spoons in deep water, or fishing flukes and trick worms. Not real fond of strait up braid though.

Pline CX is a copolymer.
YMMV but its the best I've used, casts great, sensitive on strikes, and 6# is about as strong as 10 mono that I have used.
Not sure what more one would want with a 6# on a spinning, or even heavier on larger than UL reels.

Stren fluorocarbon is the worst I've ever used. When I float the Clinch, I will make at least 500 casts in a day and not have any issues with my gear. 10# Seaguar InvizX is .010 diameter whereas other 10# line is .011 to .013. I use 15# backing and spool 50 yds of fluorocarbon to fish with.

Seaguar InvizX is the best. The cheaper Red Label is not as good. This right here. Used the 6, 8 and 10 lb test and had none of the usual problems that other cheaper floro's have. Using it on spinning rigs for bass and trout.

Seaguar is good no doubt.
Curious, has anyone used P-Line CX?

Well you guys may have saved me some hassle. I spent many times standing in front of some fishing line at the stores and never could make up my mind which florocarbon line I wanted to try. I went to braid a year or so ago and haven't looked back. But I think I florocarbon leader would be a good thing to try instead of mono. I also have a few extra reels I would like to have some quality line in case I should decide to break then out.
I think I will check out the seaguar stuff. Thanks...

I just watched Bill Dance today and he recommends Hi-Seas florocarbon.
Any experience with it?

Try the Sunline Super FC Sniper less memory, smaller diameter and just as strong as the Seaguar InvizX.
I have 1000 yards spools of both but will only purchase the Sunline from now on.

Did a lot of bass fishing on structure this summer with 15# P-Line Flouroclear(among others). Won a tournament with the stuff throwing a 3/8oz Jackal Spade jig on a 19 ft vein of rock. The bigger fish were holding there.
One 5.5 pound fish got her head into the rocks and I could feel the line grating so dropped the rod to give slack and she backed out. Got her but the line was grated for about 8" above the knot, and the line held. I was impressed.
The stuff is thin and handles well on bait casting gear, but it's wise to retie often as it does not take the beating that (say) P-Line copolymer or Maxima Chameleon does around cover.
It's decently good stuff and handles pretty well on spinning gear for me as well.

George I have been fishing since I was app. 10 years old, but was not exposed to guns and hunting until I was about 18.
I have done all types of fishing but these days fish in Maine for bass about every weekend from ice out until October, with several tournaments tossed in each season.

I have been using P-line 100% flourocarbon 10 lb test on spinning rods for 4-5 years now. Love it!
