Goofy simulations and everything else. When I'm at my reloading bench,there's always an episode of From the earth to the moon on in the background. To say I'm excited about an updated Apollo program would be an understatement !!! I can't wait !!! Mike

A much older buff here. This one doesn't excite me much. Oh, it's great to see any thundering liftoff, but I predict this will be the one and only launch of an Orion spacecraft.
They finally came up with a test capsule, but the dedicated launch vehicle has been cancelled and resurrected at least twice. There's little to no funding for it. The stated goal (to visit/explore/mine asteroids) is patently ridiculous and asinine. And frankly, even though NASA gets less than one percent of the federal budget, people widely assume we're "wasting billions of dollars in space."
Enjoy the launch, but that program is doomed.
Commercial manned space flight, however, will thrive. Just watch.
Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

Grew up watching Gemini, Apollo and so forth. Remember the moment and where I was for the moon landing. Wish I still had all my old scrap books to give my grandson.
