I know there is zero reason to own one of these when I have a shooter 270 on my hands, but the quality factory ammo makes me want to try one...

Fondled one of those down at Sportman's Whorehouse this afternoon..
also got to fondle the American Ranch rifle in 223....
both are worth the $399 they are asking for them...
although the longer barrel on the Creedmoor felt a little funny and less balanced than my 223 in the Ruger American Predator...

OK, I have a Hawkeye a Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor and I absolutely love it. I ordered it brand new through my local firearms dealer. Took me all of 3 shoots to sight it in. Have not shot it 10 times total, but it is a for real one-holer.
But my 308's are my first and last love, and what I have all of my reloading supplies for. I see several on this thread who have had trouble finding one, so I'll offer mine up for sale, if mistem will forgive my telling you about it. Mine is in new condition in the box with all the stuff that came from Ruger. I'd sell it for $795.00 shipped and insured to any lower 48 states FFL who accepts long guns from private individuals. I also have a ship pot full of Hornady factory ammo I won't need if someone wants this rifle. I have boxes of 120 and 140 gr AMAX. ammo as well as a bunch of 129 gr SST ammo.
Holla,
Mark

Just ordered one this morning. Don't really need another rifle but am excited about it. Think it will get a super sniper scope when it arrives.

I happened to find an American predator creedmoor at sportsmans today. It followed me home. I'll throw a SS scope on it tonight and wait for some better weather.

I have an extra super sniper 3-9 mil quad still in the box and a mil/mil fixed 10. I'm just debating which one to put in it. I really like the 3-9 SS, it's becoming one of my favorite all around variables. If they have another Black Friday sale this year I plan on picking up two more fixed 6's, another 10, and one or two more 3-9's. I think a fixed 6 would be great on this little creedmoor but I don't have one laying around at the moment. Probably going to run the 3-9 for now.
Just measured the mag box at about 2.85". My other creedmoor is on a tac30 aw action and aw mags have let me run long so my 140 vld loads are at 2.89". I'll have to bump them back to run in this one. I'll probably try a totally different bullet for the American. My heavy creedmoor loves the 140 VLD hunting and has grouped those sub .2" on several occasions and flattened the one 4x4 mulie I shot with them so it's tempting to try those bumped back. However I have about 600 of the 129 ablr's on hand and will likely play with those too. They fly pretty good at 2900 from my little carbon wrapped 260.

Yet again, the campfire comes through! I got a heads up on a Creedmoor today and bought it.
Now I just have to get dies and brass!
