I have a nice Model 70 Featherweight Short action barreled action. Wondering if anyone has put a featherweight barreled action into a stock inletted for a 70 Sporter.

Looking for pics to compare 70 Featherweight Contour in a McMillan stock inlet for a Model 70 Sporter barrel contour.

I have, the Sporter contour is quite a bit bigger than the FWT. It fit, but not well.

It will depend on the FWT you have.. Those that were chambered for the magnums will have a barrel contour closer to a sporter rifle and may fit pretty close..

Redneck, I have an EW 308 and was wondering if the EDGE sporter contour will be too big for it? You're input is appreciated. Thx.

Not Redneck, but have dropped an EW into the Sporter channel and it worked out great. Have tried the Fwt contour in ine too, the large gap by the reciever bugged me too much. But, those "in stock" Edges are tempting but long haul, I'd wait for a custom order if you can.

The Extreme Weather barrel contour is NOT a featherweight contour, not even close. The EW is almost identical to the sporter contour. You've got no need to wait.
