You people are losing the spirit of the Dink-a-thon, showing up and posting these monster shooter bucks.


And Old Crow is never gonna make a good bribe.



I know, I know...I started this thing off with a monster with AWESOME main beams, but I only did that cause it was the first entry and I knew someone would beat it.


Helpful hint...the more antler mass/points it has, the more Blantons the Judge will need for consideration. ( Unless you are from Texas, then Rebecca Creek can work miracles in the judging arena..... )

Of course it's up to Da Judge to decide, but I think indeed a consideration should be given to caliber used.

It should be in your favor if there is not too much span between the weight of the bullet and the weight of the deer, the closer, the better.

Obviously the most desirable antler size is the class of "Barely visible above hairline." Those, on a 60 lb. deer shot with a .458" 540 grain bullet would be hard to beat.

My pleasure. It was a pretty fun opener. My little guy is too young to hunt yet, so I got to live/parent vicariously.

That is my son's future "first" rifle she was using. She went to the range and practiced this fall, then made a perfect shot when it mattered.

I think my buddy and I both almost teared up with joy when she insisted on field dressing it and then skinning and quartering it when we got it back. More so when, on the drive home Monday through the snowstorm, she was asking her dad multiple questions about what rifle she will get as her own, what kind of jacket and knife she needs etc...

Awesome, truly awesome.

Soon will be your time goalie.
