I still think Sitka has been had. Although there was never any questions in my mind that Mr. Simms sheep
was anything but legal, why did it take a week to post the best pic?

Also if Huntalk is Mark's home why was the story brought here? Seems to me this is a Dja-vue. You could of had all the kudos & pat on the back at Moosie's.

The only gould thing that came out of this is everyone learned how to judge sheep. Other then that this week of mud slinging between boards gave a black eye on all hunters. That's just my opinion which I'm entitled to. Glad It's over & kudos to both parties.

Dave

First the posts got off to a bad start and now it looks like the aplogies are escalating rapidly too. This is the first post of this type that I have ever seen come to an amicable solution. Kudos to both you and Sitka deer for recognising that no long winded argument is ever totally one sided. Now if we could all just find a way to get to a conclusion faster. (grin) TM

Jeff... go back and re-read the original post on Slayer's sheep... Sitka was actually quite nice about how he posted his doubts... then others shot back with a lot of loud-mouthed crap. From the pictures my initial reaction was that it wasn't a legal ram, but I decided to let it be. I only subsequently posted my view after Sitka had been run down as the second coming of Joe Stalin. If you go back and read my post I still gave Slayer the benefit of the doubt and congratulated him on his sheep, accepting his word it was legal.

Nope, I owe no one an apology... if you post poor quality pictures on the internet of a sheep you claim to be legal you may be challenged... I found (and still find) Sitka's original remark's quite measured based on the photos.

Regards, etc.

I'm glad it's over.
I don't know Sitka other than his reputation on this board, but I've had the honer of knowing & hunting with Slayer. I know he post some wild tails, but if you knew him like I do, you would never dought a word. Time & again he has amazed me with tails that always turn out to be true to the last word
Congratulations again on a fine ram !

I stayed out of it, but do want to thank you both for being big enough to admit your faults and apologise to one another.
Now in future I hope all have learned something from all this.
Of course this would never happen with a Canadian, we are much too polite.
Bill
