Thanks everyone for the kind words! I'm sure proud of him!
Interesting part of that hunt I cant believe I forgot to mention;
After shooting him I swear the echo of the shot was still sounding off the hills when three other bucks were after that doe like mad men. About 5 minutes after shooting the big one one of the other bucks bred that doe 50 yds in front of me. Hopefully big boy had already taken care of business and this buck was just getting seconds, because he was nearly as impressive a buck.

That is a tremendous buck for any part of the country, and an absolutely phenomenal buck for a low fence Texas Hill Country deer!
Llano county is good deer country, but that's the buck of a lifetime for that area.
I'm sure tickled for you!! Y'all are doing it right to grow mature deer of that quality.
Doesn't hurt to be able to run to Coopers when you get tired of camp cooking, does it?
Congratulations, Bill!
Thanks DJ! Actually the Castell General Store gets alot of my business if Im there on a weekend. They have fantastic burgers

Dang that's a good looking deer. He'd be a great deer anywhere, but around Llano he's a monster.
your flippant remarks which you so adeptly sling

You deserved him.

congrats!
There are so many good bucks in the hill country this year on our place for some reason.
Passed a couple that are 22-23 inside, but no good tines... passing 130-140 inch bucks almost every weekend....
Thats a good buck. Thats what we are hoping for too!

Congrats, that's a trophy buck, especially for Llano. Do you know what he weighed?
My pard shot a buck this year that was a nice 10pt and scored in the low 140's. He field dressed 135. Last year the deer was an 8 point but with "blades" on the main beam that became points this year.
We are hunting in San Saba county, near Llano county. We've been seeing some nice deer this year too...promising for next year.
Again congrats. Great buck and story!

That's just one hell of a buck for the area you killed him in. Great symmetry and mass too. Congrats!!!
