OP Ebby Campfire Tracker Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 3,201 Middle TN	My 8 yr old made a great shot tonight on this big Doe. He was really excited. We had a great time tracking her and he did a great job on that too. He was very excited and so was Dad! Rem 700 Custom in 7mm-08, built by Chad Dixon at Long Rifles inc, shooting Remington Reduced Recoil Core-lokt ammo, 140gr at 2400 fps, about 110 yds, ran about 75yds into a thicket and piled up!

OP Ebby Campfire Tracker Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 3,201 Middle TN	Tate, we were hunting in TN. Originally from Oxford lived from 2008-2013 in Tupelo and moved to TN then. Hunting in Maury county TN. bcraig, the reduced recoil load is a pleasure to shoot. 140gr core lokt at 2400 from my gun. Deer was slightly quartering to us, bullet went in right on the front shoulder and exited just inside the last 2 ribs, deer ran about 75 yds total, blood trail was sparse at first and difficult to find initially but it picked up some and there was decent blood until we found her. Shot was right at 100-110 yds.
