the fuggers around here are interested in bulk packs they aint interested in accurate ammo in 50 rd boxes I like shooting 10 shot groups and having em all in one hole and I like head shots on squirrels preferably right between the ear and the eye
I like accuracy...............................
these fugging arseclowns resell it in the peddeler paper for outrageous prices or at the flea market in Clarksville and local gunshops owners with their markup do it also and numbnut mofo,s buy it ............................
one looks like cotton hill from king of the hill the other looks like a old version of skeletor and then their guys with the tacticool pants with 27 pockets
fuggin state taxation officials need to start calling some of these numbers in the peddeler and other little local weekly formats and visit some of the flea markets state wide and ask thses fuggers about the 10 cent tax per container due to the state of tn for sale of ammo
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........
been to our academy on Tuesdays 8am, Thursdays8am and sundays9am seen the crowds and the looks of disappointment when they ask about bulk packs and their aint none then I will say please give 3 boxes of the aguilar rifle match and act all happy in front of the schmucks
even the clerks at academy are annoyed at the bulk pack ammo addicts and their asking why aint their no bulk packs today
Jesus H, can someone decipher this? I had to go make a sandwich.

I buy .22 LR once in a while, but what I can't find is W-W .22 WMR. I haven't seen that stuff in years.
Keep your gun-hand ready and your eyes peeled.

All my life I've had a problem with the concept of "normal". I used to tell them, "I can get you any test result I want from a spectrum analyzer, if I get to pick the time interval." If we look at where the price of 22 ammo was when Obama took office, 3 cents a shot for bulk hollow point, and how much inflation there has been, we might predict 5 cents with a republican Pres elected in 2016. That would $$2.50/50, $5/100, and $25/500 brick. That is if demand goes back to the 2008 rate of consumption and the hoarding stops.

I'm having no problem finding .22 LR but I'm not paying what most of the butthole pawn shop, small sporting goods retailers are asking. Only thing I'm having a hard time finding is .22 MAG., not impossible but hard.

I just bought 1000 rounds of CCI mini-mag hollowpoints and still had change from a 100 dollar bill. Steelhead, was that online or local?

I still don't see much anywhere. As for the gov; if they can restrict .22 there will not be a new crop of youngsters shooting. Almost everyone starts out as a kid with a BB, then .22, then up to a "big" caliber. Some branch out to ML and shotgunning. But without the initial step of a low recoil low noise starter, they won't start. You cannot start manufacturing without a license from said .gov. and if you make waves, said license will disappear. I still can't decide to take the grandkids out, and stop along the way to get a few boxes of .22.

They are diverting lots of ammo to the muslims over seas. They have no ammo shortage. They are fighting with everyone and themselves.

This rimfire thing has ruined the .22lr if you ask me. It's much easier to shoot a centerfire these days, so that's what I shoot. Unfortunately my favorite guns are rimfires (Winchester model 61, S&W K-22), but I just don't get to shoot them very often at all.

All my life I've had a problem with the concept of "normal".
Stuff happens, things change. Lateral problem solving is a useful path to remedy. Having foresight in times past I've had no need to purchase RF ammo for the last 3-4 years. Don't shoot it much, but when I do stuff dies. 50 round box of .22 RF ammo is a lot lot of meat waitin' for the table. Cast bullets be a lot of things to a lot of folks. Cheap and plentiful covers a couple of my favorite points. Have a few bricks of 22rf on hand, but would much rather have 1000# of lead, few kegs of Bullseye and Unique and 10k of each size and style of primers. Primers are no problem to come by, but fast pistol powders are still hard to come by. Soon as powder valley has Alliant powders in stock, they'll be getting an order from me.

I was out doing some Christmas shopping today and stopped by the same Dick's Sporting Goods store where I got the mini-mags two days ago. Low and behold, they still had some in stock and I bought another 300 rounds. This is definitely a new state of affairs for around here.
I'm better when I move.

FlaRick: This "new normal" started on the first of October 2,012 - so for 27 months now it has been rare to see good quality American made hollow-point 22 ammunition on store shelves! Yeah sad to say it is the norm to NOT be able to find any quality American made 22 L.R. hollow-points on stores shelves. I don't know why things are as they are, but I am sad to say I think the days of having a "selection" of 22 ammo on stores shelves, are long gone! High prices, no selection, hoarding, scarcity - sad.
