I did shoot it with a 7x57 (+10mm and a belt)

The worst part about it was I meant to get the picks in the field as I literally said to myself I had just won the dink-a-thon. But, my buddy started frantically waiving me over to him as he had a deer bedded on a hill but couldn't ID it as a whitey and shooting light was almost gone.

Couple more days until the season opens here and then I'm in. I've been watching a couple of fat little dinks hoovering up white oak acorns in the back pasture in the evenings. Eat up bishes,Eat up....
