I haven't used bipods on my rifles in the past. Just shooting sticks and shooting over my pack prone. Which bipod do you use for long range work?

I use Harris. Generally the 9-13 notched swivel works for most of my applications but I have others if I need to change it up. The 6-9" I think is too short for prone in the field if on flat terrain.

Yeah, what RenoH414 said, and get a rear bag, too. Shoot prone at deer 500 yards out. My favorite is a small Holland Field bag hanging from the sling. http://www.dog-gone-good.com/

I have used a snipe pod for the last couple of years and like it pretty well...it may not be as steady as some but it is light and easy to carry, I have no problem making kill zone hits out to 500 yards with it..
