I personally will be settling into a Chinese take away from a little place on Bridge Street, a cozy fire, a little TV, or some reading, and a walk at midnight by the river.

In bed by 9pm I'm hoping. LIke normal.
I can't recall how many years its been since we've been up till midnight. I've been up at midnight for other things but not by choice.
With our weather forecast here, I"m guessing I"ll be in a fire truck by 1 at the latest.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Get off work about 5:30, drive to Tucson, home around 8ish. My wife is still in AL, and I have been on the early shift all week so probably in bed early.

Having family and friends over for deli sandwiches, chips, dips, wings, cookies, brownies. Fire in the fireplace and great fellowship and memories. People come and go from 4 to 9 pm. Some stay till 1-2am.
Beware of thieves, scammers and dishonest members on the "Fire" classifieds. Ya there is a thief here too. Whatever!!
They're all around the CampFire and everywhere.

We'll be on our snowmachines, visiting friends at their cabins in Petersville, celebrating the coming New Year with a killer fireworks display at midnight.
Really looking forward to getting away this year.

Lynn In 1999(?), I was hit by a drunk driver the night of New Years day. We were on the way home from a potluck at a friend's house. 85 MPH front/head-on collision. Gave Mrs Walter a concussion and me a trip to the hospital with pieces of car stuck in my arms and legs. I was in the OR for five hours on a backboard, because none of the staff could believe I hadn't broken my back, or sustained massive internal injuries. The front of my explorer was literally crushed all the way to the windshield; the steering wheel touching the back of the driver's seat, and there was glass and blood and gas everywhere. The drunk driver was killed, her passenger maimed for life. It was a year like this one, where New Year's Eve was a few days before the weekend, and the party ran all weekend. I'm pretty sure I'll just stay home with momma, and watch the festivities on TV, drink some sparkling cider, and head to bed early. I've had all the New Year's excitement I can take in one lifetime.

On a lighter note, our company prohibits flying on New Years from 0000-0100 due to celebratory gunfire.

Working. Someone had the brilliant idea of converting our entire HR, Budgeting, Payroll, AR, AP and supply chain systems to a new server on New Year's day, so the festivities start the evening of Dec. 31st and run all through the night and into Jan. 1st. But on the bright side I get a free lunch out of it on 1/1/15...
