That's a good guess. I was hoping we might have an insider lurking here at the fire

I'd like to know too as I have been putting off buying another one until I see what 2015 calibers they will offer.

Rumor has it that the Number 1 series of Rifles will not be a catalogued firearm.
They will continue to be produced as Distributor Exclusives only.
Once the Shot Show is under way we should know is this is true.

Flyer I'm pretty sure that rumour is circulated every year. Can't see why they'd drop a rifle that people are on back order lists for. It's a consistent seller. Cheers, Scott.

Down to one caliber per model, and the 1B completely dropped for a while now. I see a price increase as of Jan. 1, but no more news. It never was a high volume seller, and that's probably something the bean counters running Ruger have seen for some time. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if things changed, and it would be a pity.

Zs84: I have always wanted a Ruger #1-B in 222 Remington caliber. So if anyone at Ruger is listening lets tool that one up again - please. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Zs84: Thanks for the heads up but the only Ruger #1's that please my senses are the #1-B's and the #1-V's (and the stainless styles of the same). Of all the #1's I have owned they have all been either #1-B's or the #1-V's. Thanks again. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

I talked to a rep in New Hampshire just a few minutes ago, he stated Ruger would continue to make the Number One. He said they would not stop producing it because so many people love the rifle. Good news for us loonies....

Will remain optimistic that we will continue to hear good news once they announce the new offerings at the Shot Show.

There is no accounting for taste.
Experience is a great thing as long as one survives it.
Generally, there ain't a lot that separates the two however, Barely making it is a whole lot more satisfying than barely not making it.

I could like a 1-S 30-06 24". I have 3 No.1 30-06's, but this one would have to come home with me if I saw one with decent wood.

Wow! That is a nice list. I don't collect #1s, but I can honestly say that I would take one of everything on that list and take them out and shoot and hunt with them. OK, I don't have much need for a .375 at the moment, but I had a friend who loaded it down and shot deer with his. I would do the same.
The thing here that really gets my attention is the #1B. I have been thinking about a .257 Weatherby for a while. This is suddenly on the top of my stuff I want list. Well, right behind a Wyoming elk tag. Maybe things will work out and I will come up with both!

Can't wait to see what caliber the RSI will be.

A 24" .303 British would more than likely find space in my safe....
The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....
