Can anyone tell me what year of the Sports Afield Gun Annual the article "My search for the Minar" by John Jobson appeared? This is about one of the first custom rifles Jack O'Connor had that was made on a Springfield action.

I had heard it was the 1964 one but after buying that issue I found out that isn't the one. I would appreciate any help I can get on this one.

Many thanks

Larry

Idared,

I'm almost certain it's the 1966, but I'll check when I get home. IIRC the article was also included in "The Best of John Jobson" but of course without the pictures. I do know that there is a picture of Jim Charmichael holding the rifle in that book.

Idared,

It's the 1966 Edition, pages 4-12.
