What a depressing choice, but I'll play... .22 LR Belgian Browning T2, w/Leupold 2-7 rimfire scope and the original peep sight. It was the "one that got away" when I was 16 and then acquired much later in life, can't let this one go. Browning 16 ga Citori white Lightning. I have many other shotguns that are better at doing one thing. But none of them are as versatile or as easy to hit with in most situations. From Snipe and partridge to Sporting Clays and giant Canadas, it's done it all. Sako L579 .308 with Karl Kaps 2.5-10 x 50 scope and original Sako peep sight. I started with a .308 as my first modern big game rifle. Never determined an actual need for anything different than a good .308 for all my big game hunting in this part of Canada. It would just be coming back full circle after trying and liking a couple dozen other rifles and cartridges ranging from a .250 Savage 99 to a Ruger RSM .375 H & H.

I could whittle it down to one: Pre-64 Winchester M70 30-06.

1 good 30-06 is all a man really needs...... Well, that and a 270, 338 win mag and a 375 H&H...
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Shudder the thought, but I'll play:
CZ 452 .17 Mach II - The most deadly squirrel machine I have ever used.
Remington 700 8mm Rem Mag - Handles anything from 150 or even 125 gr spitzers for open country deer/antelope up to stiff 250 gr Woodleighs for big beasties.
Benelli 121 SL 80 12ga - The most deadly and reliable scattergun I've ever owned.

I would keep my 375 H&H , and throw rocks at grouse , ptarmigan , and bunnies. Ducks taste like swamp mud , dont need a shotgun

These threads are fun! Here are my choices.
22LR is a Remington Nylon 66 that belonged to my father and one day will belong to my grandson
Shotgun would be my synthetic camo stocked 870 Remington 12 Gauge with two barrels
The centerfire rifle selection gave me the most trouble. Finally settled on my Remington 700ADL 30-06 cerakoted by EddieF with Gretan firing pin/spring and tuned trigger
Second choice would be a Winchester Model 70 30-06 with a 24 inch tube that really shoots!
So it's a Remington sweep!

Ya know,,come to think about it I don't own a Remington or a S&W. Not that I don't like them.
The last Remington i had was an 870 super express 3.5. That was the biggest pos ever. It would not extract anything but remmy shells and that was ify. Don't get me wrong, but I still think and old 870 wingmaster is one of the greatest shotguns ever.
