Stopped at a red light at a major intersection in my unmarked (but obvious) police car, when a car load of gangstas pull up beside me and honk. I look to see the driver shooting the rod and giving me his best "mean" look. Laughed my ass off and they drove off mad. I don't know what they wanted me to do, but they should be smart enough to see the grey hair and wrinkles on a cop if they expect a different response.

Universal #1 sign? Glad you had a good laugh............and have miles TO laugh rather than let it bother you. On a related note, a couple years ago my wife and I were heading somewhere, and while stopped at an intersection I noticed one of our local mensa members leaning against a phone pole watching traffic. He had a bottle of 'Dew and the hugest chip on his shoulder I'd seen in a while. I laughed at him threw the windshield. He saw me and gave me the bird, which I returned with a continued laugh as I drove past. He went absolutely ape schit and screamed at me from the middle of the street for three blocks that I could count in my mirror. Absolutely priceless................maybe you had to be there, but it was funny.

Teenage angst. Sometimes it spills over. That is funny, right before I read your post I was thinking about the times my teenaged friends and I, while in my old 455 powered 4-4-2 in case a quick getaway was required, would be out cruising the gut and looking to meet gals. More often, our hotrod would pull up next to a car with an older (to us) married couple and for laughs and reaction we would start yelling at the 50ish lady about a date, ride to go race another car, telling her how hot she was etc. Most of the time, both parties knew we were just kids out having fun and meant no harm. Laughing with us and enjoying the evening as well as we were. They had probably cruised the same section of street we were on a couple of decades earlier. I was taught, however, to RESPECT Police Officers, and I did.

We usually gave the police the business and respected the regular folk.
